What is CSAS?
The Community Safety Accreditation Scheme (CSAS) is a nationally recognized scheme designed to support policing local communities, events and businesses where Police resources are not available or the liability for dealing with traffic management, anti-social behavior, littering or parking enforcement is considered the responsibility of a business, event organizer or private individual(s).
What are Police Accredited Traffic Officers (PATO)?
Individuals who are accredited under the CSAS scheme with designated traffic management powers issued by the Chief Constable of Kent Police, are authorized and trained to stop, divert and direct traffic on the live, public highway as well as possessing the authority to require the details of an individual committing a traffic offence.
